PCBs roll out accelerometers for NVH applications
999 0 Dec 09.2013, 17:39:00

The PCB Automotive Sensors division of PCB Piezotronics has introduced a series of triaxial ICP accelerometers with low temperature coefficient for powertrain development, NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) testing, road-load data acquisition, and durability testing in climatic chambers. The Series 339A accelerometers operate over a temperature range of –65°F to +325°F (–54°C to +163°C) and provide a temperature coefficient of less than 0.0125%/°F (0.02%/°C).

Additionally, the Series 339A sensors have a measurement range of ±500 g pk, a frequency range to 10 kHz, and a built-in low-pass filter to alleviate the effects of high-frequency overloads caused by metal-to-metal inputs commonly encountered in powertrain vibration testing. The devices are available in both stud and adhesive mounting configurations in hermetically sealed titanium housings.
