This hardware has connectors for wireless devices (rf bee, xbee and similars..) which will be used to build a wireless sensor network (WSN).
It has grove connectors which can be used to connect to various types of sensors.
It also has connectors for a 12V solar panel and a 12V Lead-Acid battery.
The ideia of the project is to teach students, in a very easy way, how to build a WSN with energy harvesting nodes.
